About the design

The iconic Cutter series designed in collaboration with Danish designer, Niels Hvass, is minimalistic, functional and a popular choice for hallways. Inspired by the German Bauhaus movement, the series contains many options and combinations giving a wonderful array of choice to suit every home. The Bauhaus-inspired Cutter bench saw the idea of a slatted seat on a coherent frame brought to life. The minimalist design is effortless in its expression and elevates atmospheres with its modern design. Note: Only the teak bench is suitable for outdoor use.

About the designer

Niels Hvass is a Danish furniture designer known for creating designs that prioritise the user experience. He values sincerity and aims to create designs that captivate and inspire. Hvass, who was born in 1958, co-founded Strand + Hvass design studio in 1991 with Christina Strand. He is also an accomplished teacher and has served on various committees and boards related to the arts.
