Flabelus is a Spanish shoe brand founded in Madrid in 2020 by Beatriz de los Mozos, who set out to take the traditional Spanish espadrille out of summer and into the rest of the year. Every pair is still hand-sewn in Spain on the same centuries-old construction, reworked in velvet and cotton with soles made from recycled bicycle tyres. Each style is named after a literary character, from Balthasar to O'Brien, and the brand is best known for the velvet Mary Jane. At Brown, we carry our favorites each season.
